Troop 380 Blog and Other Ishues
Scouts and Scouters:
I have created a Blog for the Troop. It can be found either at http://bsatroop380.blogspot.com or through the web page navigation bar. If you don't know what a blog is, this Wickipedia article explains it rather well:
I will be e-mailing some of the leaders with posting information later today.
Other website issues:
I have created a Blog for the Troop. It can be found either at http://bsatroop380.blogspot.com or through the web page navigation bar. If you don't know what a blog is, this Wickipedia article explains it rather well:
"A blog is a website in which journal entries are posted on a regular basis and displayed in reverse chronological order. The term blog is a shortened form of weblog or web log. Authoring a blog, maintaining a blog or adding an article to an existing blog is called "blogging". Individual articles on a blog are called "blog posts," "posts" or "entries". A person who posts these entries is called a "blogger". A blog comprises hypertext, images, and links (to other webpages and to video, audio and other files). Blogs use a conversational style of documentation. Often blogs focus on a particular "area of interest", such as Washington, D.C.'s political goings-on. Some blogs discuss personal experiences..."
I will be e-mailing some of the leaders with posting information later today.
Other website issues:
- I have fixed the missing pages in the member section, although the new log in system is still needed. I am working to repair the original system, but I really can't say how long it will take.
- The navigation bar is starting to look a bit long, especially now that the blog has been added. If anyone has trouble viewing it all, please tell me and I will look at re-arranging it.
- Also about the navigation bar, the addition of the Blog entry would fall under the category of major change. As such, it is possible that the navigation bar may display weirdly for some people. If it happens, tell me (browser, operating system, and other pertinent information would also be appreciated), and I'll fix it.
